Pasco To Play With Big 12 All-Star Tour In Europe

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State senior Pervis Pasco was named to the 2002 Big 12 Men's Basketball All-Star Team and will tour Scandinavia in August with 11 other student-athletes from the league, the conference office announced today.
The Big 12 All-Stars will report to Dallas on August 2 and practice for two days prior to leaving for their journey overseas on Aug. 5. The team will play six games in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and return to Dallas on August 16.
Under the direction of Baylor head coach Dave Bliss, the Big 12 All-Star Team consists of one player from each conference school. The 2002 All-Stars have 10 upperclassmen, including four seniors. Pasco is the second member from Kansas State to be named to a Big 12 All-Star Team. Quentin Buchanan and the 2000 team went 5-1 during a tour of Austria and Germany.
"We are really looking forward to representing the Big 12 Conference in international competition in an area of the world that a lot of these players will never have an opportunity to see," said Bliss.
Pasco, a Clearwater, Fla., native, averaged 12.1 points and 8.4 rebounds as a junior last season.
