Big 12 All-Stars Continue To Roll

ASKER, Norway - Kansas State's Pervis Pasco scored six points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and Iowa State's Jake Sullivan added a team-leading 15 points as the Big 12 All-Stars improved to 3-0 late Saturday night with a 92-69 victory over the Norwegian national team at the Vollen Gymnasium.
The win came in the first of a two-game series against the Norwegian nationals for the Big 12, which remained perfect on its current tour of Scandinavia.
"We played a stiffer competition tonight in the national team and I thought we responded real well," said Baylor head coach Dave Bliss, who is guiding the Big 12. "We had a great day of touring and you never really know where you might leave your legs. I felt we got off to a great start, and then had a typical game in that we kind of jockeyed for position in the first quarter and then we were able to extend it."
In what is becoming a trend, the Big 12 All-Stars used a big second-quarter push to open a comfortable lead. Up 27-23 after one quarter, the Big 12 All-Stars scored 15 unanswered points to start the second period and extend their advantage to 19.
Sullivan was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, all 3-pointers, to finish with a team-high 15 points. Nick Anderson of Texas A&M scored 12 points and had seven rebounds and three steals.
The Big 12 All-Stars, consisting of one player from each conference school, return to face the Norwegian national team again Sunday evening in Asker, a suburb of Oslo.
