On the game...
“It comes down to Jeremiah Massey. We had no answer for him. He was tremendous. He played in foul trouble the first half, that’s why we built the lead. I take my hat off to him. I thought they were really good defensively. This is probably the most disappointed I’ve been offensively since my first year here. I just felt like whatever we tried didn’t work. We tried a lot. You have to give credit to them. They are a good defense. I was extremely pleased with our effort. We played unbelievably hard in a hostile environment. The team played really well, but it is no fun losing.”
On the team’s offense...
“We really rushed in the first half. We talked about tempo. It was unbelievable that Jamar played. He is a freak of nature. We talked about controlling tempo and walking it up, but my guards went crazy on me in the first half. If we could have had a little bit more patience in the first half we could have we would have been up 12 at halftime instead of 5. I talked to the team about that at halftime. We also had trouble communicating a little bit. The offense wasn’t pretty. If you like defense and hustle, this was your basketball game.”
