  • Kansas State started seniors Tim Ellis, Frank Richards and Jarrett Hart at the guard positions and junior Justin Williams and sophomore Marques Hayden at the forward spots... It marked the third straight game using this line-up... Richards has started every game of his Wildcat career, which now spans 36 games.

  • The Wildcats are now 20-11 all-time against Wichita State, including 14-2 in Manhattan.

  • The four-point victory was the closest in the meetings of the teams over the last 10 years. The closest game before tonight was a 70-64 K-State victory in Manhattan Jan. 2, 1996.

  • Junior forward Jeremiah Massey recorded his second-straight double-double, with 23 points and 11 rebounds. This marks his second game as leading scorer and leading rebounder. Massey has been in double-digit scoring all four games of his career.

  • K-State scored 30 points off the bench tonight, led by Jeremiah Massey’s 23 points. Only in the Lipscomb game did K-State’s bench produce more, adding 35.

  • Massey attempted the most free throws of the season, shooting 7-11. The most a Wildcat had attempted previously was eight by Massey in three games this season.

  • Tonight marks K-State’s lowest three point percentage of season, draining only two three-pointers and shooting 12.5 percent.

  • No K-State opponent has shot better than 40 percent in a game this season. Wichita State shot 32.1 percent (18-56) on the game.

  • Wichita State became the first team to out-rebound Kansas State this season" However, Wildcats outscored the Shockers, 13-3, on second-chance points.
