“I thought we came out and played extremely hard. After the Nebraska game, we just needed a day off, so we took the team to the movies and let them relax. Shooting poorly at Nebraska, some of it was defense, while some of it was just a lack of confidence. I think we needed to come out with energy today, and we did that. We needed to minimize the turnovers as well. However, turnovers were a problem tonight. I thought the effort was there.”

On how Kansas State was able to make a run in the second half...

“They were able to go inside more than earlier in the game. I think they realized they were wearing us down physically, so they continued to pound it inside and were able to start making some shots.”

On what is next for Bethune-Cookman...

“We have to be able to turn around and play another few games on the road. We are playing in a tournament against the home team and it is going to be extremely difficult for us. We just need to practice hard after Christmas and get prepared for the conference season.”
