Wildcats Fall in Triple-Overtime, 87-82, to Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Kevin Field's short jumper with 49.3 seconds left put Oregon State ahead for good and the Beavers went on to beat Kansas State 87-82 in three overtimes Saturday night.
The loss snapped a season-opening four-game winning streak for
Chris Stephens had 23 points for the Beavers (3-2), who snapped a nine-game losing streak against Big 12 opponents.

After trailing by as many as 14 points in the second half, the Wildcats took their first lead in the second overtime, when Jarrett Hart hit a 3-pointer to make it 78-77. Frank Richards' free throw for
J.S. Nash's 3-pointer gave the Beavers a 72-69 lead in the first overtime, but Massey's jumper and free throw tied it again at 72 with 23.4 seconds to go and the Beavers were unable to answer.
But Massey's put-back tied it at 61 with 26.3 seconds to go, and the game went into overtime.
