ALLTEL, K-State Sign Multi-Year Sponsorship Deal

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State Director of Athletics Tim Weiser announced today a multi-year sponsorship agreement with ALLTEL, making the Little Rock, Ark., based company the official telecommunications provider for Kansas State Athletics.
The three-year deal is the largest sponsorship agreement in K-State history. As part of the agreement, ALLTEL will provide an annual cash payment, digital phones and airtime for the K-State athletics staff. In return, ALLTEL will receive exclusive advertising and sponsorship rights, including venue signage, radio, television and print media controlled by K-State. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The three-year agreement will begin with the 2003-04 academic year and run through the 2005-06 academic year.
