MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State at Texas football game on Oct. 4 has been selected by ABC Sports for a regional telecast beginning at 2:30 p.m. (Central), Big 12 Conference officials announced Monday. A full list of locations airing the game will be made available later in week by ABC Sports.
Brent Musburger will call the play-by-play with Gary Danielson handling the color commentary. Jack Arute will serve as the broadcast's sideline reporter.
The game is one of four televised contests released by the league for that date. Colorado at Baylor will open the day's action on Fox Sports Net (regional cable syndication) at 11:30 a.m. Oklahoma at Iowa State, 6 p.m. on TBS, and Texas A&M at Texas Tech, 9 p.m. on Fox Sports Net (national cable), are the other two league games being televised.
Kansas State's game at Texas marks the third television broadcast of the season for the Wildcats, who opened the year on ESPN vs. California before taking on Marshall last week on Fox Sports Net.
The game is the 20th for Kansas State on ABC since the Wildcats joined the Big 12 prior to the 1996 season. Overall, K-State has appeared on ABC no less that twice in each of the last six seasons.
