K-State coasts past Savannah State in final non-conference game, 92-51

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -- Tim Ellis scored a career-high 22 points and Jeremiah Massey and Marques Hayden each had double-doubles as Kansas State beat Savannah State 92-51 Saturday night.
Ellis was 9-of-12 from the field, Massey had 19 points and 14 rebounds and Hayden had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
The Tigers quickly took a 6-0 lead, but it was all Wildcats after that. They answered with a 27-4 run and put the game out of reach early in the first half. Ellis scored 10 points in six minutes during that stretch, including a 3-pointer and a dunk.
Ajmal Gordon led
The Wildcats won despite two key players being sidelined with injuries. Freshmen Dez Willingham has a shoulder injury and Cartier Martin has an ankle injury. Both are out indefinitely.
