GETTING STARTED
Tonight’s game was televised by Fox Sports Net and was the sixth televised game of the season. Texas Tech’s six-consecutive games on television marked a first in school history. The FSN telecast was Tech’s fourth of the year.
Tonight’s game marks just the third time that Tech has played in Manhattan and was the second straight game for the Red Raiders under the lights at KSU Stadium.
The attendance at tonight’s game was 48,338.

Sophomore wide receiver Jarrett Hicks scored the first points of the ballgame when he hauled in a one-yard touchdown pass from Sonny Cumbie. The touchdown was his seventh of the season and the 11th of his career. The TD was set up by a 40-yard reception by Joel Filani, which was the longest of his short career. Texas Tech also scored on its opening possession for the third time this season (
