Sproles headlines list of Wildcats on Coaches' All-Big 12 Football Teams

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Senior running back Darren Sproles, who rushed for a Kansas State 11-game record 1,318 yards during 2004, headlined a group of three Wildcats who were named to the All-Big 12 Conference coaches' football teams released by the league office Wednesday.
A first-team honoree in 2003 and a second-team choice in 2002, Sproles' second-team selection in 2004 marks the third straight season that the Olathe, Kan., product has received all-league accolades from the Big 12 coaches.
Joining Sproles on the second-team offense were senior tight end Brian Casey, an honorable mention choice in 2003, and junior tackle Jeromey Clary, a first-time selection.
Casey, a 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and All-Big 12 Academic choice from Gladstone, Mo., tied for fourth on the team in receptions during the 2004 season with 22 catches for 229 yards and a pair of touchdowns. A sophomore from Mansfield, Texas, Clary was also a 2004 All-Big 12 Academic choice. He capped the year with his 26th consecutive start and was considered the Wildcats’ most consistent offensive lineman.
Five other Wildcats received honorable mention accolades, including senior defensive tackle Jermaine Berry, senior defensive end Kevin Huntley, sophomore defensive tackle Derek Marso, senior place-kicker Joe Rheem and freshman punter Tim Reyer.
