1993 (Senior): Named first-team All-American by the NFL Draft Report... Earned first-team All-Big Eight honors... Participated in the 1994 East-West Shrine Game... Drafted in the second round (47th overall) by the New York Giants in the 1994 NFL Draft... Helped team to a 9-2-1 mark (4-2-1 Big Eight) and the school's first bowl win in a 52-17 blowout over Wyoming in the Copper Bowl... Led the team in interceptions and passed broken up with four picks and eight breakups... Had best game of season against Iowa State with seven tackles (six solos), one interception, one pass broken up and one forced fumble... Totaled five tackles (four solos), one forced fumble and one fumble recovery against Iowa State ... Grabbed five tackles (three solos) and one pick against Minnesota ... Recorded four tackles (three solos), one interception and one pass broken up in regular-season finale against Oklahoma State ... Picked off a pass against Wyoming in the Copper Bowl.
1992 (junior): Wasted little time in filling the shoes of departed cornerback Rogerick Green with an outstanding junior season... Started all 11 games... Quickly established himself as one of the Big Eight's top one-on-one pass defenders and finished fourth in the league with 10 passes broken up... Contributed two interceptions to the teams single-season record of 21, and finished ninth on the team with 53 tackles... 41 solo tackles was the fourth best mark on the team and tied free safety Jamie Mendez for top honors among secondary players... Outstanding on special teams with two blocked kicks... Had a career game against Colorado and freshman standout Kordell Stewart as he had a career-high 13 tackles, including nine unassisted stops, broke up three passes and registered on sack for a loss of two yards... Shared defensive MVP honors with John Butler in the near upset at Oklahoma with five tackles, one interception and one pass broken up... Set up a 22-yard scoring drive in K-State's ESPN win over Iowa State by blocking a first-quarter punt against the Cyclones... Preserved the 10-0 shutout over Oklahoma State by blocking a 34-yard field goal attempt and also broke up two passes against the Cowboys... Other interception came in the season opener against Montana ... Nine of his 10 passes broken up came against Big Eight foes.
1991 (sophomore): Played in 10 games and drew one starting assignment in a win over Northern Illinois ... Responded with four tackles, including three unassisted, an interception and a pass broken up against the Huskies... Finished the year with 23 tackles, two interceptions and four passes broken up... Best tackle game came in the season opener against Indiana State with six... Tallied four stops and one interception in a win over Idaho State ... Broke up a pass and registered five tackles in a 32-0 win over Missouri .
1990 (redshirt freshman): Spent the majority of the season as a backup cornerback... Saw action in nine of 11 games and recorded nine tackles... Biggest play of the year came on special teams when he scooped up a blocked punt against New Mexico State and scampered 36 yards for a touchdown... Also broke up one pass and caused a fumble.
1989 (freshman): Redshirt season.
High School: Talented prepster who rushed for 886 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior, and 642 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior at Manhattan High School... Coached by Lew Lane ... Captained the 1988 state championship team... Finished second in the 100-meter dash at the Kansas 6A state track meet in 1988 and anchored the 4x100-meter relay team to a runner-up finish.
