1995 (senior): Named first-team All-American by the AFCA and the NFL Draft Report... One of 12 semifinalists for the Lombardi Award, given annually to the nation's most outstanding lineman... A participant in the 1995 East-West Shrine Game... Named the Big Eight Conference Defensive Player of the Year... Recorded 81 tackles (53 solos), seven sacks and five tackles-for-loss ... Collected eight tackles (six solo) and two sacks against Kansas en route to being named Big Eight Defensive Player of the Week... Followed that performance up with a nine-tackle outing (five solos), two tackles-for-loss and two sacks against Oklahoma ... Finished with eight tackles (five solo) and one tackle-for-loss in the season finale against Colorado ... Recorded four tackles (three unassisted) in a 54-21 victory over Colorado State in the 1995 Holiday Bowl... Currently 24th on K-State's career tackles list with 248 and 10th on the career unassisted tackles list with 158.
1994 (junior): Third-team All-American by the Associated Press and honorable mention All-American by UPI and Football News... First-team All-Big Eight by the Associated Press and the Big Eight Coaches... Had some of the most impressive numbers of any defensive lineman in the country with 91 tackles, including 64 solo stops, eight sacks and six other tackles-for-loss... Finished third in the Big Eight with eight sacks for 45 yards... Turned in his best performances against three of the best teams on the schedule ( Nebraska , Colorado and Oklahoma ) as he totaled 39 tackles, which included 31 unassisted stops, four sacks and one tackle for loss... Made 12 unassisted stops, two sacks for 18 yards and one other tackle-for-loss at Colorado to earn Big Eight Defensive Player of the Week honors... Had 15 tackles, including 10 solos against Nebraska ... Had 12 tackles, nine solo stops and two sacks for 15 yards at Oklahoma ... Added 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and a forced fumble in a victory over Rice... Recorded seven tackles, including one sack and two other tackles for loss in a 21-18 win at Missouri ... Has at least one tackle in the opponents' backfield in eight games this season and four games with multiple tackles behind the line... Had seven of his sacks and three tackles-for-loss in the last five games.
1993 (sophomore): Earned second-team All-Big Eight honors from the league coaches... Tallied 62 tackles on the season, including 35 solo stops, and led the team in tackles-for-loss with nine for 25 yards... Also had three quarterback sacks for 10 yards... Had at least one tackle in the opponent's backfield in eight of 11 regular season games, including two huge games against Colorado and Oklahoma ... Had eight tackles, including three for tackles for loss for six yards, against Colorado ... Registered nine tackles the next week against Oklahoma , including two sacks and two other tackles behind the line... Had six tackles-for-loss in the last five games.
1992 (redshirt freshman): Saw significant playing time toward the end of the season and finished the year with 14 tackles, including six solo stops... Started the final two games against Oklahoma State and Nebraska ... Played in a total of eight games... Had his best outing against Missouri with five tackles, including two unassisted... Had one tackle behind the line against Oklahoma and also knocked down a pass against the Sooners.
1991 (freshman): Redshirt season... Earned the Red Raider Award for outstanding play on the scout team.
High School: First team all-area selection by the Florida High School Coaches Associated... Played guard on offense and tackle on defense... All-Sun Coast and led team in sacks as a junior and senior... Coached by Steve Vickers.
