MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State Athletics Department has been informed by the Big 12 Conference that ABC Sports will exercise its first of three six-day options when selecting its broadcast schedule for Oct. 29.
As a result, the Colorado at Kansas State game has been placed on a six-day ready list and may be televised by TBS at 6 p.m. (CT). If the game is not selected by TBS, the Wildcats and Buffaloes will not be televised and will kick off at 1:10 p.m. (CT).
ABC has broadcast windows at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 29 and has opted to televise the Oklahoma at Nebraska game in the early window. The network has placed Texas Tech at Baylor, Iowa State at Texas A&M and Texas at Oklahoma State on its six-day ready list for the 2:30 p.m. window and will make its decision as to which game it will televise on Sunday, Oct. 23.
Once ABC has made its selection, Fox Sports Net and TBS will announce their choices.
FSN, which has an 11:30 a.m. broadcast window on Oct. 29, has placed the same three games that ABC selected on its ready list and will telecast one of the two games not selected by ABC.
By being placed on the league’s six-day ready list by TBS, Kansas State will not be able to announce the kickoff time for the Colorado game until Sunday, Oct. 23.
