On the team’s feeling after Coach Snyder’s announcement...
“It was so much of a shock. For a second after he said it I still didn’t believe him. When I looked around the room everybody’s mouth was open looking at each other for some kind of reaction, but nobody knew how to react. At one point he made a joke saying I know some of you are probably happy,’ but he was the only one laughing. Everyone was else was sitting there thinking this is no time to joke, Coach.’ He announced it in a real honorable way. He told us before he told anybody and that meant a lot.”
On him being able to play for Coach Snyder...
“It meant a lot to me because of the fact that he made history here at K-State, and I guess I just saw history last night by him retiring. Just being able to be apart of what he built here and what he did over time was a great thing.”
