On preparing for this game...
“We didn’t do enough (to prepare). We played poorly, but I give Kansas State a lot of credit. I thought they played very physical with us. Their guards are very physical, and I thought we got frustrated. We really struggled with that. I didn’t think we handled the situation well. We got down in the first half. We shot 26 percent and you’re not going to beat anybody when you shoot 26 percent.”
On the loss at Texas Tech compared to this loss...
“We played much better against Texas Tech. I thought Kansas State did a really nice job seeing what we did well against Texas Tech and taking that style and adjusting to it. We pressed against Texas Tech; our press didn’t work with (K-State) too much. We zoned at Texas Tech; our zone didn’t hurt Kansas State a whole lot. They had time to prepare. They had a couple of tapes on us, and we had nothing on Kansas State because it was their first game. They had a little more time to prepare. Coach Wooldridge did a nice job of making adjustments from what he saw of the Texas Tech game.”
On foul trouble...
“You can’t come on the road and let the other team shoot 38 free throws. We got in serious foul trouble in the first half and we just could not recover from it.”
