Four Former Wildcats headed to NFL Europe

The No. 2 all-time K-State unassisted tackler (247), Josh Buhl, whose rights are owned by
Joe Hall, a second team All-Big 12 selection his junior year (1999), will play for the Rhein Fire this spring. The hefty fullback was K-State’s leading rusher with 613 yards in 1999 and the fourth-leading rusher in 2001 with 251 yards. His senior season, Hall was the nation’s heaviest Division I running back at 290 pounds, yet rushed for 100 yards in three consecutive games. Drafted by
Joining Hall on the Rhein Fire’s roster is former defensive tackle Justin Montgomery. The 2003 second team All-Big 12 coaches’ selection started all 14 games of his senior campaign and recorded 67 tackles on the year, including six sacks.
Assigned by Pittsbugh to the roster for the Hamburg Sea Devils, former Wildcat fullback Travis Wilson was an honorable mention All-Big 12 coaches’ selection in 2003. He started 11 games for K-State in 2003 and averaged 13.6 yards on seven receptions in his career.
