| | | | | Q&A with Athletic Director Tim Weiser | | Q: What is the likelihood of adding women's soccer in the future? A: Kansas State currently sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports. This allows us to maximize our per-capita spending on each sport, resulting in a high level of success for our teams in the Big 12 Conference. Short of a major gift necessary to build both a facility required for NCAA competition and to endow the annual expenses of a Division I program, adding soccer, or any other sport, is very unlikely. Q: Is there any consideration being given to adding permanent seats on the west side of the football stadium to add symmetry to the stadium look? A: Expanding the seating on the west side of KSU Stadium is not under consideration at this time. Our immediate plans are to complete the expansion of the Vanier Football Complex following conclusion of the upcoming season, which will include a terraced seating area in the north end zone. Have a question for Tim? Submit your question to sportsinfo@ksu.edu with Weiser Q&A as the subject. | |
