Brandon Farr Named Big 12 Player of the Week

The senior from Humble, Texas, went 11-for-20 (.550) with two doubles, four runs scored and five RBI against No. 22 Creighton and at Texas Tech. Farr, who currently is riding a Big 12 season-best 16-game hitting streak, went 4-for-4 in a comeback win at Creighton and then opened the Tech series with three straight hits. During four games, he had three or more hits in three of four games and drove in a run or scored a run in all four.
Farr recorded hits in 10 of his first 11 at bats during last week's activity to up his season average to .356 and is hitting .462 during his 16-game hitting streak.
The honor was the first this season for a Wildcat and also the first for Farr during his two-year career as a Wildcat.
