Even though equestrian is the newest sport at Kansas State, it has already enjoyed its share of success. The equestrian team holds its home events at Fox Creek Stables, just west of Manhattan.
During the summer of 2006, Fox Creek added 15 more stalls to their barn. Reconstruction on the north side of the barn also included three new wash stalls with hot and cold water, as well as several new grooming areas with electrical outlets. A new speaker system was also installed in the indoor arena. Fox Creek also added three turnouts in the back of the barn and is currently constructing shelters for permanent boarding.
Restrooms are available for spectators. EMS will be on site at all events. All events are free to the public.
In the future, the Wildcats will eventually be moved to a new EquiCenter Barn worth $21 million that has just recently been approved. The project is to be completed in phases and will host the Equestrian Team along with the KSU Rodeo Club and several Animal Science and Industry students.
