Yamon Figurs added to Hula Bowl Roster

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State senior wide receiver Yamon Figurs has been selected to play in the 2007 Hula Bowl and will play for the West squad in the annual collegiate all-star game, according to the official rosters released by bowl officials.
A first team All-Big 12 pick by the league’s coaches and one of the nation’s top return men, Figurs will wear jersey No. 3 in the game, which will be played on Sunday, Jan. 14, at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, and televised live by ESPN beginning at 7:35 p.m. (CST).
Figurs posted the fourth-best punt return average in school history during 2006 and finished the season ranked No. 5 nationally in punt return average (14.7 ypr). He also hauled in 28 receptions for 418 yards and tied for the team lead in touchdowns scored with seven (3 receiving/2 rushing/2 punt returns).
Figurs is the 11th Wildcat to be named to a Hula Bowl roster since 2000.
