K-State continued its best start to Big 12 Conference play with five consecutive wins... The five-game streak to open conference competition is the best since the 1987-88 team started Big Eight Conference play with six consecutive wins.
Beasley scored 25 points and grabbed six rebounds... The freshman had just eight points at the half before scoring the first nine for the Wildcats in the second... Beasley led all scorers and has led K-State in scoring in 16 games this season... He was 9-for-18 (50 percent) from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 (100 percent) from behind the three-point arc... Beasley has reached double figures in 18 contests this season.
K-State’s other freshmen, Jake Pullen and Dominique Sutton, contributed significantly... Pullen scored a career-high 22 points and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line... In the past five games, Pullen has 24 assists compared with just five turnovers... Sutton, who made his first career start Wednesday, tied for the team lead with six rebounds and led the Wildcats with two steals.
The win marks the 16th game this season in which the Wildcats have scored at least 75 points... The 16 games of at least 75 points surpasses the entire total from the past 16 seasons, including the 10 in 2006-2007...
Stewart reached double figures in scoring for the eighth time this season and 21st time in his career with 11 points and five rebounds... Stewart was 2-of-3 from behind the three-point arc... Young led K-State with a career-high five assists.
