Kansas State is 1-0 all-time after winning their first-ever meeting with Southeast Missouri...The Wildcats’ improved to 11-1 all-time against teams from the Ohio Valley Conference, including 7-0 at home.
The Wildcats’ starting lineup Sunday afternoon was sophomore guard Jacob Pullen, junior guard Denis Clemente, sophomore forward Dominique Sutton, senior forward Darren Kent and junior forward Luis Coln... Pullen,
Fred Brown led the Wildcats in scoring on Sunday afternoon with 21 points... He was 8-of-14 (.571) on shooting and 4-of-6 (.666) shooting from 3-point range. He also set a new personal best with 6 assists... His previous career best was 2 assists which he has accomplished 5 times in his career. In the second half in a 4:14 time-frame, Brown scored 16 of his 21 points, hitting all four of his three-point field goal attempts. He played 25 minutes in the contest on Sunday.
Darren Kent set a new career high in both rebounds and scoring on Sunday afternoon posting the first double-double of his career... He scored 15 points which topped his previous best of 11 points against
Jamar Samuels had a career performance setting new career highs in both scoring and rebounding...He scored 16 points and had 8 rebounds which topped his previous career highs of 11 points and 5 rebounds against Florida A&M on November 14th, 2008.
Dominique Sutton had an impressive afternoon scoring 12 points and pulling down 8 rebounds. He also set a new career high with four steals which tops his previous best of three steals which he has accomplished three times in his career. Dominique started the game very strong scoring four points, posting four rebounds, forcing one steal, and blocking one shot in the first three minutes.
Jacob Pullen scored 7 points and led the Wildcats’ with 6 assists which he shared with fellow sophomore guard Fred Brown. Pullen played 19 minutes in the contest.
Freshman walk-on Victor Ojeleye posted new season highs in scoring and rebounding by adding 7 points and 4 rebounds in the 12 minutes he saw the floor on Sunday.
