MANHATTAN, Kan. - K-State Athletics and Alltel Wireless will launch a new mobile service to Wildcat fans this week called Fan Alerts.

Fan Alerts will deliver breaking news, scores and major headlines about the Wildcats directly to cell phones, blackberry's and other mobile devices between three and five times a week.

To sign up for this service, text KSU to short code 141414. The service is free, although normal text messaging rates apply for each received message.
