Morris Named No. 4 WCCBL Prospect

Morris, who ended his redshirt sophomore campaign with a 4-4 record and a 6.04 ERA, was stellar this summer for the Moses Lake Pirates despite his 1-3 record. In 53.1 innings pitched, Morris tallied a 3.21 ERA, which ranked 16th in the league but fourth among those who threw more than 50.0 innings. A 2008 WCCBL All-Star, the Humble, Texas, native recorded a league-best 57 strikeouts as opposed to just 21 walks, and held opponents to a .203 batting average, the fourth-lowest in the league.
