Nov 15, 2009 | Football
MANHATTAN, Kan. - A full national audience will be tuned in to Saturday's K-State/Nebraska football game as the Big 12 Conference announced today that the contest, which will determine the Big 12 North champion, will be televised by ESPN.
Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Erin Andrews will have the call for ESPN Saturday as the game is scheduled to kick at 6:45 p.m. from Memorial Stadium.
The telecast will be the 11th overall television appearance for the Wildcats this season and the first on ESPN. K-State's last appearance on ESPN was back in 2007 when it opened the season at No. 14 Auburn.
Nebraska currently sits at 4-2 in Big 12 Conference play, while the Wildcats are just a half game back at 4-3. A K-State win on Saturday would send the Wildcats to their first Big 12 Championship game since 2003 and fourth under head coach Bill Snyder. Currently at 6-5 on the season, K-State would also become bowl eligible for the first time since 2006 with a win in Lincoln.
