“I want to congratulate Kansas State. I thought they played a great game tonight without (Shalee) Lehning playing. They are a very solid team; that is why they are 7-3 in the Big 12 and we are not. They have great chemistry and do a good job of playing together. They had some kids that don’t play a lot of minutes or score a lot of points step up and make shots. Deb (Patterson) is a good friend of mine and I wish her the best. They have great fans here and I wish them the best of luck in the NCAA tournament.”

“They do what they were supposed to do. Give the freshman (Jalana Childs) credit for stepping up and playing tonight. I thought our post defense was some of the worst I have seen in my 25 years of coaching, and it will be addressed when we get home.”
