MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Dominique Sutton had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Kansas State relied on its defense Tuesday night to grind out a 65-50 win over Iowa State.
Kansas State (15-7, 4-4 Big 12) struggled against the stingy Cyclone defense, going 4-for-19 from 3-point range after hitting 29-for-46 from the arc the previous three games.
But the Wildcats made up for it with tough defense of their own. They held Iowa State (12-10, 1-6) to 32 percent shooting and leading scorer Craig Brackens to 14 points on 6-of-20 shooting.
James Vanderbeken also scored 14 for the Cyclones, who have lost six straight to Kansas State and five straight overall.
Denis Clemente, who scored a Big 12-record 44 points against Texas on Saturday, finished with 15 points on 4-of-13 shooting for the Wildcats. Jacob Pullen added 13 points.
