
Isaac Tops Leaderboard, Wildcats in Second in Dallas

DALLAS, Texas – Kansas State freshman women's golfer Reid Isaac had a career day with a 3-under par 141 during the first two rounds to lead the second-place Wildcats in the Trinity Forest Invitational on Monday at the par-72, 6,372-yard Trinity Forest Golf Club.
Isaac got off to a very solid start in the first round as she shot an even-par 72. She came out on fire in the second round, tying a career best with a 3-under par 69. The Montgomery, Texas, native holds a two-stroke lead over a three-way tie for second place entering Tuesday's final round.
"Reid was solid today," said head coach Kristi Knight. "She gave herself opportunities and putted very well."
The Wildcats are at 15-over par 591, five strokes behind No. 27 Houston for the team lead. K-State carded a 9-over par 297 during round one and came back with a 6-over par 294 to move up one spot on the leaderboard.
"The team did a great job today," Knight said. "They hit a lot of good shots and putted well. I am proud of how they kept their composure."
Following Isaac, the trio of senior Connie Jaffrey and freshmen Niamh McSherry and Ella Adams are all tied for 16th at 6-over par 150. Sophomore Tash Carlsson is tied for 61st at 16-over par 160.
The Trinity Forest Invitational will conclude Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start to the third round. Live results can be followed no www.golfstat.com.
