MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2017 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 12 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
 
Deante Burton, CB – Atlanta Falcons
A wide receiver for his entire K-State career in addition to the preseason with the Atlanta, Burton is a defensive back on the Falcons' practice squad. Atlanta picked up a 34-20 win over Tampa Bay – its third-straight win – to improve to 7-4 on the year. Sitting a game out of a first-place tie in the NFC South standings, the Falcons host Minnesota on Sunday.
 
B.J. Finney, OL – Pittsburgh Steelers
Finney, an undrafted rookie free agent in 2015 who is in his second year on the roster, played on four special teams plays in Pittsburgh's 31-28 win over Green Bay. A product of Andale, Kansas, Finney has played in 21 career games with five starts, including three this season. Now 9-2 on the year to lead the AFC North by three games, the Steelers travel to face Cincinnati on Monday night.
 
Emmanuel Lamur, LB – Minnesota Vikings
A sixth-year linebacker, Lamur saw action on 10 special teams plays in Minnesota's 30-23 Thanksgiving Day win at Detroit. A second-year player for the Vikings after spending his first four seasons in Cincinnati, Lamur has 174 career tackles, a half sack, 11 passes defended and two interceptions. The win improved the Vikings to 9-2 this year. Minnesota holds a three-game lead in the NFC North prior to traveling to Atlanta on Sunday.
 
Elijah Lee, LB – San Francisco 49ers
Lee played on 21 special teams plays in San Francisco's 24-13 home loss to Seattle. The Blue Springs, Missouri, product had a tackle this year on punt coverage in Week 5 in Indianapolis, a play in which he forced a fumble. Originally a seventh-round draft pick by Minnesota in the 2017 NFL Draft, Lee was a member of the Vikings' practice squad until he signed with San Francisco's active roster on Sept. 13. Now 1-10 on the year, the 49ers travel to face Chicago on Sunday.
 
Tyler Lockett, WR/Returner – Seattle Seahawks
A third-year pro, Lockett started at receiver and rushed one time for two yards, returned two punts for seven yards and a kickoff 26 yards in Seattle's 24-13 victory at San Francisco. In 10 games this season, Lockett has 33 catches for 408 yards and returned 21 kickoffs for a 25.9-yard average, the latter ranking fifth in the NFL. The victory improved Seattle to 7-4 on the year – one game out of first place in the NFC West – as the Seahawks host Philadelphia on Sunday night.
 
Cornelius Lucas, OT – Los Angeles Rams

A three-year offensive lineman for Detroit who signed with the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 13, Lucas was inactive for the Rams' 26-20 home victory over New Orleans. Los Angeles holds a one-game lead over Seattle in the NFC West at 8-3, and the Rams travel to face Arizona on Sunday.
 
Charmeachealle Moore, LB – Los Angeles Chargers
Moore, an undrafted rookie free agent signee by the Chargers, is on injured reserve for the 2017 season. Los Angeles earned a 28-6 Thanksgiving Day victory at Dallas, the Chargers' fifth victory in their last seven games. Now just one game out of first place in the AFC West, LA hosts Cleveland on Sunday.
 
Jordy Nelson, WR – Green Bay Packers
Nelson, a 10-year veteran, hauled in three passes for 11 yards in Green Bay's narrow 31-28 loss at Pittsburgh. In 11 games this year, Nelson has 38 catches for 393 yards and six touchdowns. The Riley, Kansas, product is second in Green Bay history in career receiving touchdowns (69), third in catches (535) and fifth in yards (7,759). Now 5-6 on the year, the Packers host Tampa Bay on Sunday.
 
Terence Newman, CB – Minnesota Vikings
A 15-year NFL veteran in his third season with Minnesota, Newman started and played on 35 defensive snaps in the Vikings' 30-23 Thanksgiving Day victory at Detroit. The Salina, Kansas, product played in his 214th career game – the 10th most among active NFL players and second most among defensive players – while he made his 203rd start. Newman, who has 27 tackles and three breakups this season, has 868 career tackles to go along with 2.0 sacks, 170 passes defended and 41 interceptions, the latter ranking second in the NFL among active players. Winners of seven straight, the Vikings are now 9-2 this year to hold a three-game lead in the NFC North. Minnesota travels to play Atlanta on Sunday.
 
Darren Sproles, RB/Returner – Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, a 13-year veteran, was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 25, due to season-ending injuries sustained in Week 3. The Olathe, Kansas, native has 19,155 career all-purpose yards, which ranks first among active players and eighth in NFL history. Philadelphia picked up its ninth-straight victory on Sunday – a 31-3 win over Chicago – as the 10-1 Eagles travel to face Seattle on Sunday night.
 
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair, a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, started his 27th-straight game and played on all 55 offensive snaps in Chicago's 31-3 loss to Philadelphia. The 3-8 Bears host San Francisco on Sunday.
 
Jordan Willis, DE – Cincinnati Bengals
A third-round pick in this year's draft, Willis recorded one tackle on 19 defensive snaps in Cincinnati's 30-16 victory over Cleveland. The player who extended K-State's Big 12-leading draft streak to 24 years, Willis has 18 tackles, 2.0 TFLs and a sack this year. Winners of two in a row, the 5-6 Bengals host Pittsburgh on Monday night.
