Jul 13, 2017 | General

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Former Kansas State equestrian head coach Casie Maxwell has been named the head coach at Baylor. Maxwell will become the second coach in the history of the Lady Bears program following the retirement of inaugural head coach Ellen White.

During her seven seasons as the head coach at Kansas State, Maxwell was a two-time Big 12 Coach of the Year recipient while carding a 51-60 overall record. She led the western program to a trio of Reserve National Championships and her student-athletes garnered 17 All-America honors and two national riders of the year citations.

"I am honored and so excited to continue my coaching career at Baylor University," stated Maxwell. "Coaching has a special place in my heart and I am so grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a shared mission of turning these great student-athletes into strong, successful women."

Maxwell will lead a Baylor program that captured the 2017 Big 12 title and was the top seed in the 2017 National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Championship.
