MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2017 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 12 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Deante Burton, WR – Atlanta Falcons
After spending the preseason with the Atlanta, Deante Burton was quickly signed to the Falcons' practice squad prior to the regular season. Atlanta opened the 2017 slate with a 23-17 road victory at Chicago and hosts Green Bay this Sunday night.
Randall Evans, CB – Los Angeles Chargers
Evans finished the 2016 season on the Chargers' practice squad and was signed to the organization's practice squad again after the cut down date last week. Los Angeles fell, 24-21, Monday night at Denver and hosts to the Dolphins on Sunday.
B.J. Finney, OL – Pittsburgh Steelers
An undrafted rookie free agent in 2015 who is in his second year on the active roster, Finney suited up but did not play in Pittsburgh's 21-18 victory at Cleveland on Sunday. The Steelers host Minnesota on Sunday.
Emmanuel Lamur, LB – Minnesota Vikings
Lamur, a sixth-year linebacker, played in Minnesota's 29-19 victory over New Orleans on Monday night but did not record any statistics. In his second year with the Vikings after spending his first four seasons in Cincinnati, Lamur has 163 career tackles, a half sack, 11 passes defended and two interceptions in his career. The Vikings travel to play the Steelers this Sunday.
Elijah Lee, LB – Minnesota Vikings
A seventh-round draft pick by Minnesota in the 2017 NFL Draft, Lee is on the Vikings' practice squad. Minnesota topped New Orleans, 29-19, on Monday night and travels to Pittsburgh this Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR/Returner – Seattle Seahawks
Coming back from an injury that cut his 2017 season short, Lockett returned three kickoffs for 91 yards (30.3-yard average), one punt for seven yards and caught one pass for eight yards in Seattle's 17-9 setback at Green Bay on Sunday. He began the 2017 season with a 43-yard return, but the Seahawks followed with a three-and-out. Seattle opens its home slate this Sunday against San Francisco.

Charmeachealle Moore, LB – Los Angeles Chargers
An undrafted rookie free agent signee by the Chargers, Moore is on injured reserve for the 2017 season. Los Angeles lost at Denver, 24-21, on Monday. The Chargers host Miami on Sunday.
Jordy Nelson, WR – Green Bay Packers
Entering his 10th year in the NFL – all with Green Bay – Nelson carded seven receptions for 79 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown, in the Packers' 17-9 win over Seattle on Sunday. The Riley, Kansas, product tallied his 500th career reception in the game as he ranks fourth in Green Bay history with 504 catches. He is also third in franchise history in receiving touchdowns (64) and fifth in yards (7,445). Green Bay travels to Atlanta this Sunday night.
Terence Newman, CB – Minnesota Vikings
Entering his 15th season in the NFL and third with Minnesota, Newman carded four tackles in the Vikings' 29-19 triumph over New Orleans on Monday night. The Salina, Kansas, product played in his 206th career game and has now totaled 845 career tackles to go along with two sacks, 167 passes defended and 41 interceptions, the latter ranking second in the NFL among active players. Minnesota travels to face Pittsburgh this Sunday.
Darren Sproles, RB/Returner – Philadelphia Eagles
A 13th-year veteran, Sproles carded five receptions for 43 yards and rushed twice for two yards in Philadelphia's 30-17 win at Washington on Sunday. Sproles improved his career all-purpose yards total to 19,056, which ranks first among active players and eighth in NFL history. He is just 135 yards shy of jumping from eighth to sixth. The Eagles travel to Kansas City for week two this Sunday.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
A second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Whitehair made his 17th-straight start at center and played on all 67 offensive snaps in Chicago's 23-17 home loss to Atlanta. The Bears are at Tampa Bay this Sunday.
Jordan Willis, DE – Cincinnati Bengals
Playing in his first NFL game, Willis registered one tackle in Cincinnati's 20-0 home loss to Baltimore on Sunday. A third-round pick in this year's draft, Willis extended K-State's draft streak to a Big 12-leading 24-straight years. Cincinnati hosts Houston this Sunday.
