K-State Athletics, SGA Announce Early Entry Procedures for Men’s Basketball
MANHATTAN, Kan. – With the K-State men's basketball season just weeks away, K-State Athletics and the K-State Student Governing Association (SGA) today issued information on the men's basketball early-entry rewards program for K-State student pass holders.
The program is intended to encourage student attendance at all home games, while creating a priority entry system for selected men's games at Bramlage Coliseum.
"K-State Athletics and the Student Governing Association have a rich tradition of collaboration and input in order to bring the best experience possible for students and fans at K-State sporting events," said Student Body President Jordan Kiehl. "Students love cheering the 'Cats on to victory, and K-State Athletics' emphasis on the student section experience makes our games some of the best in the Big 12! One way this experience is made even better is through the early entry program- which rewards loyal Wildcat fans and ensures that students are able to get a seat in Bramlage without having to potentially miss class in order to come to the coliseum several hours ahead of tipoff. I am certain we have an exciting season ahead of us and look forward to the upcoming basketball season."
K-State student pass holders will earn early entry points for attending men's basketball home games. Early entry points are then used to determine the entry times for the Sunflower Showdown matchup against KU on February 5 and can also be implemented for other marquee games if student attendance is anticipated to exceed the number of available seats.
For the February 5 game, students will be segmented into five early entry tiers based on the points each student has accumulated. The exact early entry times will be determined at a later date and will depend on the number of students per tier.
An early entry point may also be earned by any K-State student passholder who purchases a student ticket through the K-State Ticket Office to the game on Saturday, December 22 vs. Vanderbilt at Sprint Center in Kansas City. Student tickets for the Wildcat Classic will go on sale beginning with the ICAT pass holders Monday, November 5, GA Combo pass holders Tuesday, November 6 and all K-State students Wednesday, November 7 at the Bramlage Coliseum Ticket Office beginning at 8:30 a.m. All purchases must be done in-person with a valid student ID. Student tickets for the matchup in Kansas City are $5 each.
Additional opportunities to pick-up points are offered to students who are unable to attend home games during University breaks. Students may donate their student pass to Fort Riley soldiers and families while classes are not in session. Students who choose to donate their student pass for the break games will earn one early entry point for each of the two segments. The deadline to donate a student pass for the non-conference break games will be Friday, November 16, while the deadline for the three conference break games will be Friday, December 7. This season's approved break games include:
- Saturday, November 24 vs. Lehigh
- Saturday, December 15 vs. Georgia State
- Wednesday, December 19 vs. Southern Miss
- Saturday, December 29 vs. George Mason
- Wednesday, January 2 vs. Texas
- Wednesday, January 9 vs. West Virginia
- Saturday, January 19 vs. TCU
Students who choose to donate their student pass for the break games will earn a total of one early entry point for the non-conference games and one early entry point for the conference games. Students who choose to donate their student pass will not have access to attend the games listed above. All student pass donations will occur online and information on how to donate student passes will be sent via email after the beginning of the season.

Students are also reminded of the following gameday policies:
- Every home game as well as the Madness in Manhattan event and Wildcat Classic in Kansas City will be counted toward the point total. Students will earn one point for attending one men's basketball home game.
- Only one mobile pass per student may be scanned. Students attempting to scan multiple passes may be ejected from the game and lose any early entry points earned.
- To receive a point, student pass holders must scan in no later than 15 minutes after tipoff.
- At select times, students will receive an email with their current point total. For early entry games, each tier for ICAT and GA members will enter Bramlage Coliseum at the same time.
- For all home games, students will enter Bramlage Coliseum at the southeast entry.
- Student seating is first-come, first-served in Bramlage Coliseum for all games and is based on availability and demand. Due to increased ticket sales, possession of a student pass does not guarantee entry into the arena. It is suggested that students arrive early for high-demand games.
- Students are not allowed to "camp" for home games. Students may begin lining up for home contests no earlier than 6 a.m. on the day of the game.
- K-State Athletics may utilize the early-entry points program for other home contests if attendance beyond capacity is expected. Students will be notified via email no less than two days prior to each game that early-entry procedures will be in effect.
- K-State students will receive their athletic pass via mobile delivery prior to each home game. Student athletic passes will be emailed in the form of a PDF attachment 48 hours prior to each home men's basketball game. For more information on mobile passes, visit kstatesports.com/students.
- Students are required to present their student mobile pass and show a valid K-State student ID for admittance.
- General admission pass-holders will be allowed to fill any open seats in the ICAT section 30 minutes prior to tipoff.
- Students are encouraged to stay for the entire game. Students found scanning their mobile pass for a point, but not actually attending the game, may be disqualified from the early entry program at the discretion of K-State Athletics and SGA.
