MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2018 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 11 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
 
Deante Burton, CB – Houston Texans
Burton is on his third active roster this year as he was signed off the Atlanta Falcons practice squad by the Houston Texans on October 31, and he was inactive for the Texans' game at Denver on November 4. Burton played in Atlanta's season opener, recording one tackle, and was with the Green Bay Packers a few weeks later before going back to the Falcons' practice squad, a place he resided all last year. Houston, 6-3 on the season to lead the AFC South, was off last week and travels to face Washington on Sunday.
 
B.J. Finney, OL – Pittsburgh Steelers
An undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2015, Finney saw action on 10 offensive snaps and eight special-teams plays in Pittsburgh's 52-21 blowout win on Thursday night over Carolina. A product of Andale, Kansas, who has played in 36 career games, Finney has started nine games in his career, including two this year. Pittsburgh is now 6-2-1 this season to lead the AFC North, and the Steelers travel to Jacksonville on Sunday.
 
Emmanuel Lamur, LB – Oakland Raiders
Lamur, a seventh-year linebacker, was inactive for Oakland's 20-6 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Lamur has played in 78 career games with 19 starts, and he has totaled 192 career tackles. Oakland is now 1-8 this year and hits the road to play Arizona on Sunday.
 
Elijah Lee, LB – San Francisco 49ers
A second-year player, Lee came away with two special teams tackles among his 23 special teams plays in San Francisco's 27-23 loss to the New York Giants on Monday night. Lee has played in 24 career games with 28 tackles, 24 of which have come this year. The 49ers fell to 2-8 this season as they enter their bye week.
 
Tyler Lockett, WR/Returner – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett, a fourth-year pro, hauled in five receptions for 67 yards – including a 23-yard touchdown – had a nifty 18-yard rush, returned a kickoff 21 yards and a punt nine yards in Seattle's 36-31 loss at the Los Angeles Rams. The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native has 33 receptions for 483 yards and seven touchdowns this year, the latter setting a career high and tied for fifth in the league. The Seahawks are 4-5 this season, and they host Green Bay on Thursday night.  
Jordy Nelson, WR – Oakland Raiders
Nelson, an 11th-year veteran who is in his first season with the Raiders, started but was held without a catch in Oakland's 20-6 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Riley, Kansas, product has 25 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns this year for the 1-8 Raiders. Oakland travels to Arizona on Sunday.
 
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle, an undrafted rookie free agent this past spring, was placed on injured reserve prior to the regular season. He finished the preseason with six receptions for 147 yards, including a four-catch, 122-yard effort in the final preseason game against Green Bay. His game against the Packers also included a 47-yard kickoff return. Kansas City improved to 9-1 – the best record in the AFC – thanks to a 26-14 win over Arizona, and the Chiefs travel to Mexico City to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.
 
D.J. Reed, DB – San Francisco 49ers
A fifth-round draft pick by San Francisco in this year's draft, Reed saw time on five defensive snaps and 11 special teams plays in the 49ers' 27-23 loss to the New York Giants on Monday night. San Francisco dropped to 2-8 this season and is off next week.
 
Darren Sproles, RB/Returner – Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, who is in the midst of his 14th NFL season, was inactive for Philadelphia's 27-20 home loss to Dallas on Sunday night. The Olathe, Kansas, native has 19,216 career all-purpose yards to rank sixth in NFL history and first among active players. Now 4-5 this season, the Eagles travel to New Orleans on Sunday.
 
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
A second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Whitehair notched his 41st-straight start and 40th at center in Chicago's 34-22 home win over Detroit. The Abilene, Kansas, product played on all 57 offensive snaps. Chicago has now won three-straight games to improve to an NFC North-leading 6-3 record, and the Bears host Minnesota on Sunday night.
 
Jordan Willis, DE – Cincinnati Bengals
Willis, a third-round pick in last year's draft, made one tackle in Cincinnati's 51-14 home loss to New Orleans. Willis has 11 tackles this year and 36 for his career. Cincinnati fell to 5-4 this season – the second-best mark in the AFC North – and the Bengals travel to Baltimore on Sunday.
