MANHATTAN, Kan. – Highlighted by first-team honors from CBS Sports and the Sporting News, Kansas State senior right tackle Dalton Risner picked up multiple All-America honors this week as organizations began announcing their teams.
The two first-team honors for Risner added to his one from Pro Football Focus a week ago. The Wiggins, Colorado, native also earned second-team nods this week from the Associated Press, ESPN, American Football Coaches Association and the Football Writers Association of America. Last week, Risner was also named a Second Team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation.
A three-year team captain, Risner was one of three players to be named the 2018 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, while he was a First Team All-Big 12 performer for a third-straight season. He led an offensive unit that finished third in the Big 12 by averaging 182.6 rushing yards per game.
Risner finished his career by starting 50 of the Wildcats' 51 games over the last four years. He was a Freshman All-American in 2015 after starting all 13 games at center before moving to right tackle the last three years.
