MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2018 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 11 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
 
Deante Burton, CB – Houston Texans
On his third team this season, Burton was inactive for Houston's 29-13 victory over Cleveland. The Manhattan, Kansas, native was signed off the Atlanta Falcons practice squad on October 31, while he also played in Atlanta's season opener – recording one tackle – and was with the Green Bay Packers a few weeks later. The Texans hold a three-game lead in the AFC South at 9-3, and they host Indianapolis on Sunday.
 
B.J. Finney, OL – Pittsburgh Steelers
Finney, an undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2015, played on five special teams plays in Pittsburgh's 33-30 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. The Andale, Kansas, product has played in 39 career games with nine starts, including two this year. Pittsburgh fell to 7-4-1 on the year but still lead the AFC North, and the Steelers travel to Oakland on Sunday.
 
Emmanuel Lamur, LB – Oakland Raiders
A seventh-year linebacker, Lamur was inactive for Oakland's 40-33 setback to Kansas City. Lamur has played in 78 career games with 19 starts, and he has totaled 192 career tackles. The Raiders fell to 2-10 this year and host Pittsburgh on Sunday.
 
Elijah Lee, LB – San Francisco 49ers
Lee, a second-year player, saw time on two defensive snaps and 26 special teams plays in San Francisco's 43-16 loss at Seattle. A native of Blue Springs, Missouri, Lee has played in 26 career games with 34 tackles, 30 of which have come this year. The 49ers are now 2-10 this season and host Denver on Sunday.
 
Tyler Lockett, WR/Returner – Seattle Seahawks
A fourth-year pro, Lockett carded a 52-yard touchdown reception, rushed once for 10 yards and averaged 55.5 yards on two kickoff returns in Seattle's 43-16 victory over San Francisco on Sunday. The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native has 44 receptions for 713 yards and nine touchdowns this year, the latter two setting career highs. His touchdown total is also tied for fifth in the NFL. Seattle improved its record to 7-5 and hosts Minnesota on Monday night.
 

Jordy Nelson, WR – Oakland Raiders
An 11th-year veteran who is in his first season with the Raiders, Nelson hauled in 10 receptions for 97 yards in Oakland's 40-33 loss to Kansas City. The Riley, Kansas, product has 35 catches for 450 yards and three touchdowns this year for the 2-10 Raiders, who host Pittsburgh on Sunday.
 
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
An undrafted rookie free agent this past spring, Pringle was placed on injured reserve prior to the regular season. He finished the preseason with six receptions for 147 yards, including a four-catch, 122-yard effort in the final preseason game against Green Bay. His game against the Packers also included a 47-yard kickoff return. Kansas City, which holds the best record in the AFC at 10-2, hosts Baltimore on Sunday.
 
D.J. Reed, DB – San Francisco 49ers
Reed, a fifth-round draft pick in this year's draft, was inactive for San Francisco's 43-16 loss at Seattle. The Bakersfield, California, product has 18 tackles this season and returned 11 kickoffs for a 30.2-yard average. The 49ers are now 2-10 this year and host Denver on Sunday.
 
Darren Sproles, RB/Returner – Philadelphia Eagles
In the midst of his 14th NFL season, Sproles rushed four times for 22 yards – including a 14-yard scoring scamper – and returned three punts for 19 yards in Philadelphia's 28-13 Monday-night victory over Washington. Sproles was in on nine offensive snaps and six special teams plays in his first game since the Eagles' season opener on September 6. The Olathe, Kansas, native has 19,257 career all-purpose yards to rank sixth in NFL history and first among active players. Philadelphia evened its record at 6-6, one game behind Dallas in the NFC East standings. The Eagles travel to face the Cowboys on Sunday.
 
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair, a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, tallied his 44th-consecutive start and 43rd at center in Chicago's 30-27 overtime loss at the New York Giants. The Abilene, Kansas, product played on all 82 offensive snaps and also made a tackle on an interception. The Bears still lead the NFC North with an 8-4 record, and they travel to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.
 
Jordan Willis, DE – Cincinnati Bengals
A third-round pick in last year's draft, Willis carded a sack and a quarterback hurry in Cincinnati's 24-10 home loss to Denver. Willis, who played on 21 defensive snaps and five special-teams plays, has 14 tackles this year and 39 in his career. Now 5-7 this season, the Bengals travel to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
