Jan 07, 2019 | Baseball
MANHATTAN, Kan. – First-year head coach Pete Hughes and the K-State baseball team will be hosting the inaugural "Baseball Night in Manhattan" on Friday, February 8, at the Steve and Kay Theede Club inside the West Stadium Center of Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
All fans are invited to attend the event, beginning with a social hour at 6 p.m., with dinner scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets, which include a dinner, a K-State baseball T-shirt and a gift commemorating the evening, are available for $50 for adults (14 and over) and $30 for kids (13 and younger) and can be purchased at kstatesports.com/baseballnight. A cash bar will also be available.
"We are ecstatic about the spring and our inaugural season with this program," said Hughes. "What better way to celebrate our upcoming 2019 season than launching the first annual Baseball Night in Manhattan? This is a great way to promote our players, who are more than deserving, and our program. Most importantly, this will give our alumni, friends and families of our tremendous community access to the greatest resource of our program: our players and staff."
Those in attendance will have an opportunity to meet Coach Hughes and the entire K-State baseball team as they prepare for the upcoming 2019 season. Hughes will also present a special award in the 19 Ways MVP, given to the Wildcat who was determined to have made the greatest impact in the community during the fall season.
The Wildcats, who return 16 letterwinners, officially begin their 2019 campaign on February 15 at CSUN, kicking off a four-game series. The Cats' home opener is set for Friday, March 1 against San Francisco at Tointon Family Stadium.
Season tickets are now on sale for the 2019 season and are available through the K-State Ticket Office by calling 1.800.221.CATS, visiting the ticket office inside Bramlage Coliseum or by going to k-statesports.com/tickets.
