MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2019 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 12 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Deante Burton, DB – Indianapolis Colts
Burton, who originally entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie free agent wide receiver by Atlanta in 2017, is a member of the Colts' practice squad. The Colts fell, 16-12, to Miami to drop to 5-4 on the season. Indianapolis hosts Jacksonville on Sunday.
B.J. Finney, OL – Pittsburgh Steelers
Finney, an undrafted rookie free agent signee by Pittsburgh in 2015, was in for four special teams play in the Steelers' 17-12 home win over the Los Angeles Rams. The victory was the fourth-straight for Pittsburgh, which improved to 5-4 on the season. The Steelers have a quick turnaround as they travel to Cleveland on Thursday.
Elijah Lee, LB – San Francisco 49ers
Lee, a native of Blue Springs, Missouri, was added to San Francisco's active roster last Tuesday and went on to make one tackle among his four defensive snaps and tackle on kickoff coverage among his 27 special teams plays in the 49ers' 27-24 overtime loss to Seattle on Monday night. San Francisco was the last team in the NFL to suffer a loss as it dropped to 8-1 on the year, a half game ahead of the Seahawks in the NFC West. The 49ers host Arizona on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
In his fifth NFL season, Lockett came away with three receptions for 26 yards, one rush for three yards, a punt return for 20 yards and three kickoff returns for 43 yards to help Seattle earn a 27-24 overtime win at San Francisco on Monday night. Through 10 weeks of play, Lockett ranks fifth in the NFL with 793 receiving yards, while his six touchdowns are tied for fourth. The Seahawks, who handed the 49ers their first loss of the season, improved to 8-2 to the year to sit a half game back of San Francisco in the NFC West standings entering their bye week.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Chicago Bears
Lucas, a fifth-year veteran, earned his 11th career start and third this year when he lined up as an eligible tackle in Chicago's 20-13 win over Detroit. Lucas saw time on 14 offensive snaps and three special teams plays against the Lions. The Bears halted a four-game losing streak to improve to 4-5 on the season, and they travel to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle, an undrafted rookie free agent prior to the 2018 season, made a tackle on kickoff coverage among his 19 special teams plays and three offensive snaps in Kansas City's 35-32 setback at Tennessee. The Chiefs fell to 6-4 on the year, and they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Mexico City on Monday night.
D.J. Reed, DB – San Francisco 49ers
Reed, a fifth-round pick by San Francisco in last year's draft, made one tackle among his 13 special teams plays and was also in for a pair of defensive snaps in San Francisco's 27-24 overtime loss to Seattle on Monday night. Darren Sproles, RB/Returner – Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, who is in his 15th NFL season, and the Eagles were off last week. The Olathe, Kansas, native ranks fifth in NFL history and first among active players in career all-purpose yards, a mark that stands at 19,696. Philadelphia, which is 5-4 this season, hosts New England on Sunday.

Starting his 57th-consecutive game but his first this season at center, Whitehair played on all 57 offensive snaps in Chicago's 20-13 home win over Detroit. A native of Abilene, Kansas, Whitehair has been in for all 571 offensive plays for Chicago this season. Chicago brought an end to its four-game losing streak to improve to 4-5, and the Bears travel to face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night.

Willis was inactive for the Jets' 34-27 home victory over the New York Giants. He began his third season with Cincinnati this year but was waived and quickly claimed by the Jets. The Jets, now 2-7, travel to face Washington on Sunday.
