MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State Director of Men's Basketball Operations Drew Speraw has received one of nine invitations to participate in the Teamworks Basketball Leadership Committee, which runs from July 17-18 at the organization's headquarters in Durham, North Carolina.
Teamworks, which is the leading athlete engagement platform with more than 2,500 clients around the world, seeks to bring together basketball operations leaders together at the summit to collaborate on strategies, tactics and best practices for some of the best-ran college basketball teams.
Speraw will be joined at the invitation-only summit by Jonathan Blake (Florida), Melissa Bruner (Florida State), Jill Culbertson (Cal), Tiffany Gibson (Portland), Catherine Greene (Tennessee), Chris Lauten (Northwestern), Katharine Palmer (Charlotte) and Rachel Stockdale (N.C. State).
"We're excited to introduce our next cohort of Leadership Committees and build off the success of last year's group," said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks. "These leaders will play a pivotal role in advancing the development and engagement of all basketball student-athletes. We look forward to continuing our dialogue with top-notch directors of operations."
The agenda will also focus on a comprehensive approach to working with student-athletes and identify best practices to create champions on the court and in the classroom. In addition, they will preview and give feedback to the latest updates to the Teamworks platform.
Speraw is in his eighth year at K-State, including his seventh as the program's director of operations. He has played an impactful role in one of the best stretches in school history, which includes 150 wins, two Big 12 regular-season championships (2013 and 2019) and five NCAA Tournament appearances (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019).
This summit continues a series of Leadership Committees hosted by Teamworks, with college and professional groups at their headquarters in North Carolina. Earlier this year, the NFL Leadership Committee brought together 12 NFL operation personnel to collaborate on the best practices for running an NFL team.
Founded in 2004, Teamworks empowers college and professional teams, conferences, national governing bodies and professional organizations to enhance their winning cultures.
