MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-StateHD.TV became the first in-house production unit in the Big 12 Conference to win a regional or national Emmy Award as the team was recently honored with a 2019 Heartland Emmy Award and a pair of nominations from the Heartland Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

K-StateHD.TV's Emmy-winning entry was for the piece entitled "Fly High" featuring the poetry and narration from former K-State wide receiver Tyler Lockett. K-StateHD.TV Video Producer Preston Koerner served as videographer, producer, graphics and editor on the piece, while Lockett was the writer and narrator.

The nominated piece in Sports – Program Series, K-StateHD.TV received its first nomination for the "All In" Men's Basketball video series, specifically episode five detailing K-State's championship run in the Paradise Jam in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Former K-StateHD.TV Video Producer Dakota German served as videographer, producer and editor, while K-State Athletics Director of Social Media and Digital Engagement Jay Moline served as the assistant producer.

The second nominated Sports – Program Series piece from K-StateHD.TV was for episode two of the "Volleycats" series. K-StateHD.TV Video Producer Matthew Vohs served as videographer, producer and editor.
