
Wildcats in the NFL – Championship Sunday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2019 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 12 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL. Kansas State will have three former players on active roster play in Super Bowl LIV, tied for the third most among all schools. Super Bowl LIV will be played on Sunday, February 2, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (CT), and the game will be aired on FOX.
Elijah Lee, LB – San Francisco 49ers
Lee carded a tackle on kickoff coverage among his 20 special teams plays as he helped San Francisco pick up a 37-20 victory over Green Bay in the NFC Championship. The 49ers will play in their seventh Super Bowl all time.
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle saw time on 19 special teams plays as he helped Kansas City earn a Super Bowl berth for the first time in 50 years with a 35-24 victory over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship.
D.J. Reed, DB – San Francisco 49ers
Reed saw time on three defensive snaps and 15 special teams plays in San Francisco's 37-20 victory over Green Bay in the NFC Championship. Reed helped the 49ers earn their seventh Super Bowl appearance all time.
