MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2020 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 13 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Deante Burton, DB – Dallas Cowboys
Burton, who was part of the active roster in Week 3, is back on the Cowboys' practice squad. Dallas fell at home to Cleveland, 49-38, to fall to 1-3. The Cowboys will try to right the ship against a divisional foe in the New York Giants on Sunday.
B.J. Finney, OL – Seattle Seahawks
Finney, who is in his first season with the Seahawks, saw time on five special teams plays in Seattle's 31-23 victory at Miami. The Seahawks are now 4-0 this season and host Minnesota on Sunday night.
Elijah Lee, LB – Detroit Lions
Lee, a native of Blue Springs, Missouri, was inactive for the Lions' 35-29 home setback to New Orleans. Detroit fell to 1-3 on the season as it enters its bye week.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett caught two passes for 39 yards in Seattle's 31-23 victory at Miami on Sunday. Through four games this year, Lockett is tied for third in the league with four receiving touchdowns, while he is tied for eighth in catches (26). One of six undefeated teams this season, the 4-0 Seahawks host Minnesota on Sunday night.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Football Team
A sixth-year veteran who moved from Chicago to Washington in the offseason, Lucas was in for four special teams plays in Washington's 31-17 home setback to Baltimore. Washington, now 1-3 on the season, hosts the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Matt McCrane, K – Cleveland Browns
Matt McCrane, who played for two different teams in 2018, was signed to the Browns' practice squad during Week 3. Cleveland earned a 49-38 victory at Dallas and takes its 3-1 record into Week 5 by hosting Indianapolis.
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle, who is in his third season on the Chiefs' active roster, saw time on 15 special teams plays in Kansas City's 26-10 win over New England on Monday night, a game that was postponed one day due to COVID-19 concerns. The Chiefs are now 4-0 for a fourth-straight season – a new NFL record – and they host Las Vegas on Sunday.
D.J. Reed Jr., DB – Seattle Seahawks
Reed, a fifth-round pick by San Francisco in 2018 who was claimed off waivers prior to the season, is in his first campaign with the Seattle Seahawks but is on injured reserve. The Seahawks are now 4-0 this year thanks to a 31-23 win at Miami. Seattle hosts Minnesota on Sunday night.
Dalton Risner, OL – Denver Broncos
Risner, a second-round selection in last year's draft, started at left guard and played on all 70 offensive snaps in Denver's 37-28 win at the New York Jets on Thursday night. Risner, who has started all 20 career games, has seen time on 1,253 of the Broncos' 1,291 offensive snaps (97.1%) since he began his career last year. Now 1-3 on the season, Denver travels to face New England on Sunday.

Shelley, a sixth-round pick in last year's draft, saw time on five special teams plays in Chicago's 19-11 home loss to Indianapolis. The Bears, now 3-1, have a quick turnaround as they host Tampa Bay on Thursday night.
Reggie Walker – Arizona Cardinals
An undrafted free agent signee this past offseason, Walker is on the practice squad for the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals lost at Carolina, 31-21, and they travel to face the New York Jets on Sunday.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair, who started his 68th-career game, played on all 62 offensive snaps in Chicago's 19-11 home loss to Indianapolis, its first defeat of the season. The 3-1 Bears host Tampa Bay on Thursday night.
Jordan Willis, DE – New York Jets
Willis was inactive in New York's 37-28 home loss to Denver on Thursday night. Still in search of their first win of the season, the Jets host Arizona on Sunday.
