Wildcats in the NFL – Week 13

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2020 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 13 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
 
Deante Burton, DB – Dallas Cowboys
Burton was signed to the Cowboys' active roster on Monday and was in for 18 special teams plays in Dallas' 34-17 loss at Baltimore on Tuesday night. Burton was on the practice squad and had been elevated for two games this season. In three games played this year, Burton has seen time on seven defensive snaps and 38 special teams plays. Dallas is now 3-9 this season and travels to Cincinnati on Sunday.
 
B.J. Finney, OL – Cincinnati Bengals
Finney was inactive for Cincinnati's 19-7 loss at Miami. The Bengals are now 2-9-1 on the year and hosts Dallas on Sunday.
 
Elijah Lee, LB – Cleveland Browns
Lee made a tackle on kickoff coverage among his 20 special teams plays in Cleveland's 41-35 victory at Tennessee. It was Lee's fourth game with the Browns as he began his season with the Lions. Cleveland is in second place in the NFC North with a 9-3 record and would be the top Wild Card team if the playoffs began today. The Browns host Baltimore on Monday night.
 
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett, who started his 67th-career game, came away with six catches for 63 yards in Seattle's 17-12 home loss to the New York Giants. The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native has 76 receptions for 834 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He is tied for sixth in the NFL in touchdown catches and eighth in receptions. The Seahawks are 8-4 this season and tied for the NFC West lead with the Los Angeles Rams. Seattle hosts the New York Jets on Sunday.
 
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Football Team
Coming of an injury and seeing his first action in three weeks, Lucas started and was in for all 72 offensive snaps in Washington's 23-17 win at previously-unbeaten Pittsburgh on Monday afternoon. A sixth-year veteran, Lucas has played in 10 games with four starts for the Football Team, which improved to 5-7 with the win. Washington is tied with the New York Giants for first place in the NFC East, and the Football Team travels to face San Francisco on Sunday.
 
Matt McCrane, K – Cleveland Browns
McCrane is on the Browns' practice after signing with the organization in Week 3. Cleveland pushed its winning streak to four thanks to a 41-35 win at Tennessee. The Browns are now 9-3 this season, two games back of Pittsburgh in the NFC North, prior to hosting Baltimore on Monday night.
 
Byron Pringle, WR – Kansas City Chiefs
Pringle is on injured reserve for the Chiefs, who earned a 22-16 win over Denver on Sunday night. In 10 games this season, Pringle has nine receptions for 108 yards to go along with seven kickoff returns for 247 yards (35.3-yard average) and a touchdown. He is one of only four players in the league with a kickoff-return score this season. Kansas City became the first team in the AFC to clinch a playoff berth as the Chiefs are now 11-1 on the season and lead the AFC West by four games. The Chiefs travel to face Miami on Sunday.
 
D.J. Reed Jr., DB – Seattle Seahawks
Reed earned his fourth start of the season and totaled six tackles – including one for a loss – while he returned a kickoff 22 yards in Seattle's 17-12 home loss to the New York Giants. Reed was in for all 56 defensive snaps in addition to five special teams plays. The loss dropped the Seahawks to 8-4 this year and into a tie for the NFC West lead. Seattle hosts to the New York Jets on Sunday.
 
Dalton Risner, OL – Denver Broncos
Risner stared his 28th-career game and was in for all 66 offensive snaps in Denver's 22-16 Sunday-night loss at Kansas City. A product of Wiggins, Colorado, Risner has seen time on 1,745 of the Broncos' 1,815 offensive snaps (96.1%) since he began his career last year. The loss dropped the Broncos to 4-8 on the year, and they travel to face Carolina on Sunday.
 
Duke Shelley, DB – Chicago Bears
Shelley saw time on nine special teams plays in Chicago's 34-30 loss at home to Detroit. Shelley has played in seven games this season for the Bears, seeing time on 57 defensive plays and six defensive snaps. Chicago fell to 5-7 on the season and hosts Houston on Sunday.
 
Reggie Walker, LB - Arizona Cardinals
Walker, who has played in two games this year for the Cardinals, is on the Arizona practice squad. The Cardinals fell at home to the Los Angeles Rams, 38-28, to drop to third place in the NFC West with a 6-6 record. Arizona, which has lost four of its last five, would be the first team out of the playoffs on the NFC side if the season ended today. The Cardinals travel to face the New York Giants on Sunday.
 
Cody Whitehair, OL – Chicago Bears
Whitehair started at left guard and was in for all 69 snaps in Chicago's 34-30 home loss to Detroit. With an injury and being placed on the COVID-19/Reserve list earlier this year, Whitehair has played on 78% of the Bears' offensive snaps this season. Chicago now holds a 5-7 record and hosts Houston on Sunday.
 
Jordan Willis, DE – San Francisco 49ers
Willis made one tackle among his 19 defensive snaps in San Francisco's 34-24 Monday-night loss to Buffalo in the 49ers' temporary home, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The loss dropped San Francisco to 5-7 this year, and the 49ers host Washington on Sunday.
