K-State Announces New “Powercat Porch” Beer Garden Inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium

MANHATTAN, Kansas – As Wildcat football fans gear up for an exciting return to full capacity at Bill Snyder Family Stadium this fall, K-State Athletics announced today details for a new "beer garden" accessible to all fans inside the stadium.
The Powercat Porch will be located in the southeast corner of the stadium, beneath the Carl and Mary Ice Videoboard, and feature beer, wine and margarita sales for fans. The two-tiered space will be completed this summer as the Shamrock Zone construction wraps up and will accommodate approximately 400 fans. The Powercat Porch will be the second beer garden inside the stadium, with the south Goss Family Tailgate Terrace open to all fans since the 2019 season.
"We want to continue to find ways to provide a better and more entertaining environment at our venues and adding another beer garden is a good next step," Athletics Director Gene Taylor said. "We know that the past year has been difficult in many ways, but we are looking forward to returning to normalcy and having the K-State Family back in full force in Bill Snyder Family Stadium this fall."
Season tickets for the 2021 season are still on sale as K-State looks forward to welcoming back its full fanbase and reintroducing several gameday traditions and policies, including tailgating beginning five hours prior to kickoff and standard exiting and re-entry to the stadium. Also, in coordination with university officials, masks will not be required for fans who are fully vaccinated.
The priority deadline has also been extended until June 15 to coincide with the annual Ahearn Fund contribution deadline.
Full season ticket options starting at just over $20 per game can be found at www.kstatesports.com/tickets.
