Evan Marshall, Chicago White Sox
Marshall has appeared 27 times for the Chicago White Sox in 2021, totaling 27 1/3 innings and 26 strikeouts with an ERA of 5.60. He last appeared on June 29 against the Minnesota Twins, going two-thirds of an inning with two earned runs on two hits. It marked the first earned runs Marshall has allowed over his last six outings (5 2/3 innings) dating back to June 8. He was placed on the 10-day injured list on June 30 with a right flexor pronator strain. Marshall is in his third season with the White Sox and finished the abbreviated 2020 season with a 2-1 record and a 2.38 ERA, helping Chicago to its first playoff appearance since 2008. Marshall made his MLB debut in 2014 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and has spent time with the Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Indians and was a fourth-round pick of the Diamondbacks in 2011.
Nick Martini, Iowa Cubs (Triple-A, Chicago Cubs)
Martini has split time between the Iowa Cubs and the Cubs' Major League roster this season. He is hitting .235 with four doubles, a triple, four home runs and 15 RBI in 29 games with the Iowa Cubs this season. He has three hits in his last three games, including a 2-for-4 effort against Indianapolis on July 3. In June, he hit .254 with three homers and 10 RBI. Martini has been called up twice to Chicago, making his debut with the club on May 7. In 12 games, he is 1-for-12 with an RBI and two walks this season. Last season, Martini was sent to the Phillies' Alternate Training Site in Allentown, Pa., to be part of the team's player pool for the taxi squad. Martini spent time with both the Oakland A's and San Diego Padres in 2019, hitting .226 with a home run, four doubles and 14 runs batted in. The former All-American outfielder was a seventh-round selection of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011.
Josh Rolette, Akron RubberDucks (Double-A, Cleveland Indians)
Rolette was assigned to Akron ahead of the 2021 season after spending the 2019 campaign with the Lake County Captains (High-A). This season, Rolette has a slash line of .163/.218/.250 with four doubles, a home run and 10 runs batted in over 24 games. With Lake County in 2019, Rolette hit .183 with 12 doubles, a triple, a home run and 27 RBI. Rolette was taken in the 39th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by Cleveland.
Will Brennan, Lake County Captains (High-A, Cleveland Indians)
Brennan was assigned to Lake County ahead of the 2021 season and he leads the team with a .284 average, .347 on-base percentage and 17 doubles in 46 games this season. Additionally, he has a hit two home runs with 21 runs batted in and seven stolen bases. In 2019, Brennan slashed .266/.354/.369 with 11 doubles, four triples, a homer and 32 RBI with the AZL Indians (Rookie) and Mahoning Valley (Low-A). Brennan was the only Wildcat taken in the 2019 MLB Draft, as he was taken in the eighth round (No. 250 overall) by the Cleveland Indians.
Brett Lockwood, Daytona Tortugas (Low-A, Cincinnati Reds)
Lockwood has appeared in 14 games in his first full minor league season, posting a 3.20 ERA with 26 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings pitched. He has registered a pair of holds and owns a WHIP of 1.68 with opponents hitting .225 against him. Lockwood spent two seasons at K-State (2019-20) with a 3.22 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 17 relief appearances. He was a nondrafted signee of the Cincinnati Reds following the shortened 2020 MLB Draft.
Nate Griep, ACL Rockies (Rookie, Colorado Rockies)
Griep was recently assigned to the Arizona Complex League (ACL) Rockies and has not appeared in a game. In 2019, Griep spent time with the Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A) and the San Antonio Missions (Triple-A) within the Milwaukee Brewers organization. He was claimed off waivers by the Colorado Rockies following the 2019 season. In his five-year minor league career, Griep has a 3.17 ERA with a 13-7 record to go with 110 saves in 127 opportunities. He has struck out 232 hitters in 203 career appearances. He has been named an all-star each of the last three seasons he has pitched. Griep was an eighth-round selection by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2015 MLB Draft.
Drew Mount, ACL Reds (Rookie, Cincinnati Reds)
Mount was assigned to the Chattanooga Lookouts (Double-A) prior to the 2021 season and was activated off the injured list on June 28 and sent to the Arizona Complex League (ACL) Reds. Mount appeared in one game for the Lookouts before being placed on the injured list on May 7. In five games with the ACL Reds, he is 4-for-9 (.444) with two doubles, a home run and four RBI. Mount enters his third season in the Reds' organization and was assigned to Class-A (advanced) Daytona after spending the 2018 season with the Billings Mustangs (rookie). In his minor league career, he has a slash line of .282/.337/.415 with 10 home runs and 95 RBI. Mount was the only Wildcat taken in the 2018 MLB Draft when he was selected in the 16th-round by Cincinnati.

Austin Garrett, Mankato MoonDogs (Northwoods League)
Garrett is playing for the Mankato (Minnesota) MoonDogs of the Northwoods League. In 15 games this season, he has put together a slash line of .209/.352/. with two doubles, a home run and seven RBI. Garrett drove in a run in his last game on July 4 against the Bismarck Larks and has two doubles and four base hits in his last eight contests. The MoonDogs are 24-9 and in second place in the Great Plains West Division standings.
JUNIORS IN 2021-22
Griffin Hassall, Sioux Falls Sunfish (The Expedition League)
Hassall has made five starts for the Sioux Falls Sunfish, going 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA. He has struck out 25 while walking seven in 26 innings. Hassall earned the win in his last start, striking out four over 5 2/3 innings with two earned runs allowed against Pierre. He struck out seven hitters in seven innings in each of his previous two starts, as he allowed just two earned runs on June 25 against the Hastings Sodbusters. Over his last three starts, he has 18 strikeouts against just four walks. In their inaugural season, the Sunfish went 14-17 during the first half of the season and are currently 4-1 during the second half and leading the Clark Division.
Cole Johnson, Winnipesaukee Muskrats (New England Collegiate Baseball League)
Johnson is playing for the Winnipesaukee Muskrats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. In 11 games, Johnson has a slash line of .341/.408/.682 with three doubles, four home runs and seven RBI while stealing 10 bases. He has recorded a base hit in each of his last eight games, including four multi-hit efforts, with a hit in 10 of 11 contests this season. He doubled and walked in his last game against Keene on June 25 and drove in two with a home run in a 12-6 win over North Adams on June 23. The Muskrats are 7-14 and in sixth place in the Northern Division standings.

He has yielded just four hits this season and picked up the win after logging ttwo scoreless innings against Wareham in his last game on July 5. The Mariners are 5-6-1 and in fifth place in the East Division standings.

Elijah Dale, Alaska GoldPanners (Alaska Baseball League)
Playing for the Alaska GoldPanners of the Alaska Baseball League, Dale has made six appearances on the mound with five games in the field. On the hill, Dale is 0-1 with a 6.42 ERA (5 ER, 7 IP) with four strikeouts and five walks. He has held opponents scoreless in four of his last five outings, going a season-long two innings with just one hit allowed on June 30 against the Seattle Studs. He struck out two in a perfect inning of relief on July 4. At the plate, he is 0-for-10 with six walks, two runs scored and two stolen bases. The GoldPanners are 17-6 this season.
Nick Goodwin, Bourne Braves (Cape Cod Baseball League)
In nine games with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League, Goodwin is slashing .240/.321/.400 with a double, home run and three RBI. On June 23 against Falmouth, he went 4-for-5 with a double, home run and two RBI in a 13-8 victory. Goodwin went 1-for-3 with an RBI, walk and run scored in a 4-0 win over Wareham on July 4. The Braves are 9-1-2 and atop the West Division standings.
Dom Hughes, Alaska GoldPanners (Alaska Baseball League)
Hughes, with the Alaska GoldPanners of the Alaska Baseball League, has put together a slash line of .182/.333/.341 in 16 games this season. He has two doubles, a triple, a home run and seven RBI while drawing seven walks, stealing 15 bases and scoring 15 runs. Hughes went 2-for-2 with two doubles, a walk, RBI and four steals on July 3. He homered in an 8-2 win over the Everett Merchants on June 25, and tripled against Everett on June 24. The GoldPanners are 17-6 this season.

In 18 games (16 starts) with the Princeton WhistlePigs of the Appalachian League, Uselton has a slash life of .185/.371/.204 with a double and five RBI. He has drawn 11 walks, stolen two bases and scored nine times. Uselton put together a five-game hitting streak from June 16-20, going 6-for-19 with an RBI and five runs scored in that span. Princeton is 15-11 and in second place in the East Division standings.

Brady Day, Princeton WhistlePigs (Appalachian Baseball League)
In 22 games with the Princeton WhistlePigs of the Appalachian League, Day has a slash line of .291/.364/.3453 with six doubles, a triple, two home runs and 18 RBI. In the season opener against Burlington, Day went 4-for-5 with three RBI, as he has six games with multiple hits including three three-hit games. In his last game, he went 3-for-5 with three RBI on July 4 against Pulaski. He is third on the team with his 25 hits and 18 RBI. Culpepper has recorded five doubles, a homer and driven in 10 while stealing five bases. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in his last game on July 4 and has driven in a run in each of his last three contests. He had a season-best five hits, going 5-for-6 with two RBI and two runs scored, in a 9-4 win against the Nashua Silver Knights on June 12 and put together a season-long hitting streak of five games from June 18-25. Culpepper was named FCBL Player of the Week on July 5 after going 4-for-11 with a home run and five RBI last week. The Sea Unicorns are 16-15 and tied for third place in the FCBL standings.

Hufft was selected to the U.S. Nationals Upperclass Scout Team for the 2021 summer season (no statistics available).
Brendan Jones, Pittsfield Suns (Futures Collegiate Baseball League)
With the Pittsfield Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League, Jones has a slash line of .276/.364/.362 with five doubles, 13 runs batted in and nine steals in 17 games.
