Oct 19, 2023 | Baseball
MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State will host the 19 Ways Fall Showcase on November 5 at noon inside Tointon Family Stadium.
Originally, the Cats were scheduled to host their annual Fall World Series November 3-5.
K-State baseball has partnered with Katie's Way and No Stone Unturned to help raise awareness for each organization as part of the team's 19 Ways. K-State head baseball coach Pete Hughes, entering his sixth season, installed 19 Ways when he came to Manhattan as a community service initiative designed to have a positive impact on the community on 19 different occasions.
Additionally, the Wildcats will put on their annual ALS Awareness Halloween Game on Monday, October 30, as another staple in the program's 19 Ways. The ALS Halloween Game is a fun, family friendly event to help raise money and awareness of ALS. Players and staff will dress in costume for an entertaining game of baseball. Fans are also encouraged to dress in costume.
Both events are free admission.
K-State returns 19 letterwinners from last season's team that went 35-24 – its highest win total since 2013 – while advancing to the semifinal round of the Big 12 Baseball Championship for the third consecutive season.
