Four Teams Top Big 12 in GSR Scores; 27 Student-Athletes Earn Degrees

MANHATTAN, Kan. – In addition to 27 student-athletes earning K-State degrees this weekend, four Wildcat programs recorded Big 12-best graduation rate figures as the NCAA also released its latest graduation rate data.
K-State's men's golf (100), women's golf (100), tennis (100) and volleyball (100) programs all had Big 12-leading GSR figures, while as a department K-State was fifth among current Big 12 membership with an overall average GSR of 93 percent. Only Cincinnati, Baylor, West Virginia and Iowa State recorded higher all-sport marks. The football (95) and baseball (95) programs both ranked second among current Big 12 schools.
The football program was also recognized this week with the 2023 AFCA Academic Achievement Award – which was awarded to football programs across the nation with the highest GSR figures this year.

Highlighting the 27 graduates on the weekend are: 15 from football, three from men's track & field and volleyball, two from women's track and field and one each from men's basketball, rowing, tennis and women's soccer.

K-State, a Tier 1 Carnegie Foundation Institution, has had a strong start to the 2023-24 academic year. It continues to rank among the league's best in terms of academic success and set a national standard in terms of APR with all programs currently well above the required NCAA standard.
