MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2024 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 16 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
A first-round draft pick last season, Anudike-Uzomah and the Chiefs were off last week. Kansas City, one of two undefeated teams in the NFL, comes out of its bye week by playing at San Francisco on Sunday.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
Beebe, a third-round pick in this year's draft, made his sixth start at center and was in for all 69 snaps during the Cowboys' 47-9 home loss to Detroit. Dallas is now 3-3 this season as it enters its bye week.
JuJu Brents, CB – Indianapolis Colts
Brents, a second-round selection last year, was placed on injured reserve on September 10. Indianapolis earned a 20-17 victory at Tennessee to improve to 3-3 this season, and the Colts host Miami on Sunday.
Khalid Duke, OLB – Tennessee Titans
Duke, an undrafted rookie free agent, is on Tennessee's practice squad. The Titans lost at home to Indianapolis, 20-17, to drop to 1-4 this season prior to a game at Buffalo on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A sixth-round selection in last year's draft, Hayes was in for 24 special teams plays to help Tampa Bay pick up a 51-27 win at New Orleans. The Buccaneers are now 4-2 this season and host Baltimore on Monday night.
KT Leveston, OL – Los Angeles Rams
Leveston, a seventh-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams, was placed on injured reserve on August 27, but he was designated for return as he could be added back to the active roster this season. The Rams, 1-4, were off last week and come out of the bye to host Las Vegas on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett, who is in his 10th NFL season – all with the Seahawks – registered his 126th-career start and hauled in four passes for 65 yards – including a 9-yard touchdown reception – during Seattle's 36-24 home loss to San Francisco on Thursday. After winning their first three games this season, Seattle is now 3-3 before a game at Atlanta on Sunday.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Commanders
Lucas, a 10th-year pro, was in for 29 offensive snaps and six special teams plays during the Commanders' 30-23 loss at Baltimore. Washington lost its first game since the season opener as it is now 4-2 this season, and the Commanders host Carolina on Sunday.
Adrian Martinez, QB – New York Jets
Martinez is on the Jets' practice squad. New York lost at home to Buffalo, 23-20, on Monday night to fall to 2-4 this season. The Jets are at Pittsburgh on Sunday night.
D.J. Reed, DB – New York Jets
In his third season in New York, Reed made the 61st start of his career and came away with a tackle and a pass breakup during the Jets' 23-20 Monday-night home loss to Buffalo. New York, now 2-4 this season, is at Pittsburgh on Sunday night.
Dalton Risner, OL – Minnesota Vikings
In his second season in Minnesota, Risner was placed on injured reserve on August 27 but had his practice window opened on Monday. He now must either be placed on the active roster in the next 21 days or return to injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Follow their bye, the 5-0 Vikings host Detroit on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
Sinnott, a second-round selection in this year's draft, was in for 11 offensive snaps and nine special teams plays during Washington's 30-23 loss at Baltimore. The Commanders are now 4-2 this season prior to hosting Carolina on Sunday.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Miami Dolphins
Thompson and the Dolphins were off last week. Miami, 2-3 this season, comes out of its bye week with a game at Indianapolis on Sunday.
Deuce Vaughn, RB – Dallas Cowboys
Vaughn, a sixth-round selection last year, was inactive for the Cowboys' 47-9 home loss to Detroit. Dallas is now 3-3 this season as it enters its bye week.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Las Vegas Raiders
Whitehair, who is in his ninth NFL season and first in Las Vegas, was in for one special teams play during the Raiders' 32-13 home loss to Pittsburgh. Las Vegas is now 2-4 this season and travels to face the Rams on Sunday.
Russ Yeast, S – Carolina Panthers
After being released from the active roster on October 8, Yeast re-signed with the Panthers' practice squad two days later. Carolina suffered a 38-20 home loss to Atlanta to fall to 1-5, and the Panthers travel to face Washington on Sunday.
