MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2024 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 17 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
A first-round draft pick a year ago, Anudike-Uzomah registered two tackles – including one for a loss – among his 12 defensive snaps in Kansas City's 16-14 home victory over Denver. The Chiefs remain the only undefeated team in the NFL with a 9-0 record, and they play at Buffalo on Sunday.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
A third-round pick in this year's draft, Beebe earned his ninth start in as many games and was in for all 60 offensive snaps during the Cowboys' 34-6 home loss to Philadelphia. Dallas has now lost four-straight games and is 3-6 this season prior to hosting Houston on Monday night.
JuJu Brents, CB – Indianapolis Colts
Brents, a second-round selection last year, was placed on injured reserve on September 10. Indianapolis lost for a third-straight game, 30-20, at home against Buffalo to fall to 4-6 this season. The Colts are at the New York Jets on Sunday.
Khalid Duke, OLB – Tennessee Titans
Duke, an undrafted rookie free agent, is on Tennessee's practice squad. The Titans fell at the Los Angeles Chargers, 27-17, to drop to 2-7 this season, and they host Minnesota on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A sixth-round selection in last year's draft, Hayes made his second-straight start, tallying six tackles and two pass breakups while seeing time on all 64 defensive snaps and 10 special teams plays in Tampa Bay's 23-20 home loss to San Francisco. The Buccaneers, who have lost each of their last four games, are now 4-6 this season as they enter their bye week.
Malik Knowles, WR – Green Bay Packers
Knowles is on the Packers' squad. Green Bay, which is 6-3 this year, comes out of its bye week by playing at Chicago on Sunday.
KT Leveston, OL – Los Angeles Rams
Leveston, a seventh-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams, was placed on injured reserve on August 27 but is expected to return at some point this season. LA saw a three-game winning streak come to an end with a 23-15 home loss to Miami on Monday night. The Rams are now 4-5 this season and play at new England on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
Lockett, who is in his 10th NFL season with 129 career starts, and the Seahawks were off last week. Seattle, which is 4-5 this season, comes out of its bye week with a game at San Francisco on Sunday.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Commanders
Lucas, a 10th-year pro, was inactive for Washington's 28-27 home loss to Pittsburgh, which saw the end of the Commanders' three-game winning streak. Washington is now 7-3 this season prior to playing at Philadelphia on Thursday night.
Adrian Martinez, QB – New York Jets
Martinez is in his first season on the New York Jets' practice squad. The Jets lost at Arizona, 31-6, to drop to 3-7 this season prior to hosting Indianapolis on Sunday.
D.J. Reed, DB – New York Jets
Reed carded his 64th-career start and came away with four tackles in New York's 31-6 loss at Arizona. The Jets are now 3-7 this season, and they host Indianapolis on Sunday.
Dalton Risner, OL – Minnesota Vikings
In his second season in Minnesota, Risner played in his second game since returning from injured reserve, seeing time on four special teams plays during the Vikings' 12-7 win at Jacksonville. Minnesota improved to 7-2 this season, and they play at Tennessee on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
Sinnott, a second-round selection in this year's draft, was in for 13 offensive snaps and 11 special teams plays during Washington's 28-27 home loss to Pittsburgh. The defeat snapped a three-game winning streak as the Commanders are now 7-3 this season heading into a Thursday-night game at Philadelphia.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Miami Dolphins
In his third season in Miami, Thompson was active but did not play in the Dolphins' 23-15 Monday-night win at the Los Angeles Rams. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak as Miami is now 3-6 this season prior to hosting Las Vegas.
Deuce Vaughn, RB – Dallas Cowboys
Vaughn, a sixth-round selection last year, was inactive for Dallas' 34-6 home loss to Philadelphia. The Cowboys are now 3-6 this year after losing four-straight games, and they host Houston on Monday night.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Las Vegas Raiders
Whitehair, who is in his ninth NFL season and first in Las Vegas, and the Raiders were off last week. Las Vegas, which is 2-7 this season, comes out of its bye week by playing at Miami on Sunday.
