MANHATTAN, Kan. – Each week throughout the 2024 season, k-statesports.com recaps the action for the 16 former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.
Felix Anudike-Uzomah, DE – Kansas City Chiefs
Anudike-Uzomah, a first-round draft pick a year ago, made one tackle among his 12 defensive snaps during Kansas City's 30-21 loss at Buffalo. It was the Chiefs' first defeat of the season as they are now 9-1 this season prior to a game at Carolina on Sunday.
Cooper Beebe, OL – Dallas Cowboys
Beebe, a third-round pick in this year's draft, earned his 10th start and was in for all 83 offensive snaps during Dallas' 34-10 home loss to Houston on Monday night. It was the Cowboys' fifth-straight loss as they are now 3-7 this season prior to a game at Washington on Sunday.
JuJu Brents, CB – Indianapolis Colts
A second-round selection last year, Brents was placed on injured reserve on September 10. The Colts snapped a three-game losing streak with a 28-27 win at the New York Jets. Indianapolis is now 5-6 this season prior to hosting Detroit on Sunday.
Khalid Duke, OLB – Tennessee Titans
An undrafted rookie free agent, Duke is on the Titans' practice squad. Tennessee lost, 23-13, at home to Minnesota as the Titans are now 2-8 before a game at Houston on Sunday.
Josh Hayes, DB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Hayes, a sixth-round selection in last year's draft, and the Buccaneers were off last week. Tampa Bay, which is 4-6 this season, comes out of its off week with a game at the New York Giants on Sunday.
Malik Knowles, WR – Green Bay Packers
In his second year in the NFL, Knowles is on Green Bay's practice squad. The Packers came out of their bye week with a 20-19 win at Chicago to improve to 7-3 this season, and Green Bay hosts San Francisco on Sunday.
KT Leveston, OL – Los Angeles Rams
A seventh-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Rams, Leveston was placed on injured reserve on August 27 but is eligible to return this season. The Rams picked up a 28-22 win at New England – their fourth victory in the last five games – to improve to 5-5 this season, and LA hosts Philadelphia on Sunday night.
Tyler Lockett, WR – Seattle Seahawks
In his 10th NFL season – all with Seattle – Lockett came away with two catches for 19 yards during the Seahawks' 20-17 win at San Francisco. Seattle evened its record at 5-5 this year, and the Seahawks host Arizona on Sunday.
Cornelius Lucas, OL – Washington Commanders
A 10th-year pro, Lucas was in for two special teams plays during Washington's 26-18 loss on Thursday night at Philadelphia. It was the first time this season the Commanders suffered consecutive losses as they are now 7-4 this season before hosting Dallas on Sunday.
Adrian Martinez, QB – New York Jets
Martinez is in his first season on the New York Jets' practice squad. New York suffered a 28-27 defeat at Indianapolis to fall to 3-8 entering its bye week.
D.J. Reed, DB – New York Jets
Reed made his 65th-career start as he registered four tackles among his 69 defensive snaps during the Jets' 28-27 loss at Indianapolis. New York fell to 3-8 this season and is off next week.
Dalton Risner, OL – Minnesota Vikings
Risner, who is in his second season in Minnesota, made his first start of the season and 74th of his career as he was in for all 73 offensive snaps during the Vikings' 23-13 win at Tennessee. Minnesota is now 8-2 this year, and the Vikings are at Chicago on Sunday.
Ben Sinnott, TE – Washington Commanders
A second-round selection in this year's draft, Sinnott saw action on six offensive snaps and 13 special teams plays during the Commanders' 26-18 loss at Philadelphia on Thursday night. Washington fell to 7-4 this season, and it hosts Dallas on Sunday.
Skylar Thompson, QB – Miami Dolphins
Thompson, who is in his third season in Miami, was active but did not play in the Dolphins' 34-19 home win over Las Vegas. It was the first time this season Miami won consecutive games as the Dolphins are now 4-6 prior to hosting New England on Sunday.
Deuce Vaughn, RB – Dallas Cowboys
A sixth-round selection last year, Vaughn rushed four times for 13 yards and caught one pass for four yards among his 16 offensive snaps during the Cowboys' 34-10 home loss to Houston on Monday night. Dallas has lost five-straight games to fall to 3-7 this season, and the Cowboys play at Washington on Sunday.
Cody Whitehair, OL – Las Vegas Raiders
In his ninth NFL season and first in Las Vegas, Whitehair was inactive during the Raiders' 34-19 loss at Miami. Las Vegas fell to 2-8 this season, and it hosts Denver on Sunday.
